When building an arcade cabinet, we’re generally focussed on recreating the experience of 1970’s and 1980’s video arcades. But today’s emulated arcades are so much more powerful and can play all types of console games. Adding arcade USB ports to your console allows for adding retro controllers such as Nintendo NES, Atari 2600, or even Playstation or XBOX controllers! All of our plans include templates for arcade USB ports!

In addition to controllers, the arcade USB ports make a nice place to plug in a keyboard and mouse for configuring your arcade, or a USB stick for transferring game ROMs and images to the arcade!

There are many different styles of USB ports that can be installed into arcade cabinets, and some are better than others.  Follow along while we install a pair on the Pacade!
